Overview
What physiotherapy is and how it helps
Physiotherapy at Atlas is the full assessment-and-treatment pathway for musculoskeletal problems — bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and the nerves that supply them. Every appointment starts with a proper assessment so we can identify what is actually causing the pain or restriction, not just where you feel it. From there, Connor builds a treatment plan combining manual therapy, exercise prescription, and clear advice on how to manage things between sessions. The goal is to get you back to what you want to be doing, with the knowledge to keep yourself there.
A first appointment runs through three parts: a detailed conversation about your symptoms, lifestyle, sleep, and what you are trying to get back to; a movement and strength assessment so Connor can see how the area behaves under load; and specific clinical tests to identify the underlying cause rather than just chasing the symptom.
Treatment is always evidence-based and personalised. Manual therapy and hands-on techniques sit alongside graded exercise, education, and self-management strategies you can use at home. The aim is short-term relief paired with long-term resilience — not endless appointments.
Where it helps, physiotherapy is combined with the other services on offer: injection therapy for stubborn inflammation, acupuncture for pain that has plateaued, shockwave for chronic tendon problems, or sports massage to support training load.

What people say
“I saw Connor recently as I was having real problems with cramp, gait and mobility 4 weeks after a total knee replacement, struggling to get upstairs and still needing to use a crutch due to limb stiffness. I had met Connor previously and in my opinion he is a knee guru — what he doesn't know about the knee isn't worth knowing. He assessed me and gave me exercises to do and I am able to walk without a crutch and get up and downstairs. Connor doesn't just assess he also listens, really listens. He is the best physiotherapist I've ever encountered and I highly recommend him.”
