Sports Massage
Targeted soft-tissue work to release tension, support recovery, and keep you on top of your training load. Delivered by a qualified physiotherapist, not a generic routine.

Overview
What sports massage is and how it helps
Sports massage at Atlas is deep, targeted manual therapy designed to keep muscles, tendons, fascia, and connective tissue working the way they should. It addresses tension, adhesions, and post-injury scar tissue to boost blood flow, accelerate recovery, prevent injury, and support performance — useful for athletes, regular gym-goers, runners, cyclists, and anyone whose training load is high enough to feel the wear.
Because the treatment is delivered by a chartered physiotherapist, every session is informed by what is actually going on in the tissue rather than a one-size-fits-all routine. If something is flagged that needs more than soft-tissue work — a tendinopathy, a joint restriction, an underlying movement issue — that conversation happens in the room.
Techniques used include deep effleurage and petrissage to warm tissue and improve circulation, trigger-point release for stubborn knots, frictions and cross-fibre work to break down adhesions, myofascial release for connective-tissue restriction, and lymphatic-drainage techniques to support recovery.
It works well in the build-up to an event, after a heavy training block, or when a particular area keeps tightening up. Sixty-minute sessions are recommended for full-body work or first appointments; thirty-minute sessions suit a single area you already know is the issue.

What people say
“I've seen Connor for various injuries over the past few years. Having played football all my life and seen many physios, I wouldn't go anywhere else and highly recommend Connor to anyone — not just for sporting injuries but with any injuries that need help fixing.”
